In July one of my childhood dreams is finally comming true! I am starting my exchange year in the US. I always wanted to do an exchange year, to improve my english, learn more about the american culture and have a lifetime experience. An exchange year helps you to grow, get out of your comfort zone and meet new people. I am doing my exchange year with the organisation EF and I am going to spend about eleven months in the USA. I will go to a local high school, live with my host family and experience a lot of different things like american tratitions, food, the different high school, places all over the US and much more. I am very looking forward to this amazing experience!

My Placement

Already on October 28^th I got my placement. I am going to spend my exchange year in a small city near San Antonio in Texas. I have a double placement, which means, that another exchange student is also going to spend her exchange year with my host family. That is a great way to learn even more about different cultuers, because I get to know not only the american culture, but also the one from Japan. Since I got my placement I am already in contact with both my host family and my double placement.
